Welcome to Dave's Arcade.
What's New
LaserTank!
This is a clean port of Jim Kindley's LaserTank. By that I mean I didn't look at his code at all, it's based on the rules I learned playing the game. That means there's almost guaranteed to be some levels that aren't finishable due to me either not remembering the rules completely or levels that rely on bugs in his implementation of the rules. I'll probably fix the former, but not the latter. Since my implementation is object oriented and no doubt completely different than his, matching every idiosyncrasy of his may be more complicated than I want to get into. So far though I haven't run into anything.
I still have a ways to go, like adding mouse movements and a level editor. But it's not bad for less than a week. I'm considering adding some new objects, as well as new graphics and sounds once I'm finished with it.
Works in IE, mostly works in Firefox. Just answer the error messages and restart the level. I think I know what's wrong with it but I haven't gotten around to looking into it.
It's still very much beta, I haven't gotten all the bugs out yet.
The rules are pretty simple: drive the Tank with the arrow keys, and capture the Flag while avoiding the AntiTank Guns. Use the Mirrors and Rotating Mirrors to bounce lasers into the antitanks. Use your laser to move Blocks to clear the way or make Bridges. Watch out for Thin Ice and Conveyer Belts into the Water and have Fun!
Hello World from
Silverlight!
WackyMole Jr.
I wrote this for my 2 year old. I was looking for a game
he could play but couldn't find anything. This works for him since
you don't have to click. As long as you are in full screen mode it
doesn't matter what he clicks on, and the keys are disabled as well.
No more accidentally closing the page or opening the context menu
like he always does in flash games. Best of all you literally can't
lose at this game. There are some settings to make it more difficult
if you have your pre-school diploma, but it's still just a whack a
mole game.
I always wanted to be able to post flash games and applets but I didn't have the time to learn something completely new. I can think of a lot of cool things to do with the iso storage too. For this game you can load your own image for the moles and it will store them, as well as remember all your settings. I used paint.net to make the background transparent and resized a png to about 50 pixels wide by 80 high. Currently he's using a pic of a cookie monster plush toy instead of the “scary bears”. Pretty much all of the settings are exposed so you can fine tune it to your needs or select from 3 presets.
